Constipation
It is the decrease in the frequency of stool. Less then one stool in 3 days.
Causes
- Eating Food Low in Fiber
- Not Drinking Enough Water
- Not Getting Enough Exercise
- Resisting the urge of have a bowel movement
- Taking Stress
- Eating Large Amounts of Milk or Cheese
Symptoms of Constipation
- You have fewer than three bowel movement a week
- Your stool are dry, hard or lumpy
- You feel bloated and nauseous
- Your stool are difficult or painful to pass
- You have a stomach ache or cramps
Diagnosis of Constipation
- Blood Test
- Colonscopy
- CT Scan, MRI
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Anorectal Manometry
Prevent Constipation
- Eat a well balanced diet with plenty of fiber
- Exercise regulary
- Drink Plenty of Water
- Move yout bowels when you feel the urge. Do not wait.
